Unravelling Galaxy Morphology
Galaxies come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, and one of the basic goals of extragalactic astronomy is to understand the diversity of these beautiful structures. This talk will present some recent results derived using two of the tools that have been developed to help in this endeavour, quantitative morphological studies and detailed dynamical analysis. It will also describe current and future hardware developments that are set to revolutionize our understanding of galaxies.
