"Discovering and Monitoring Pulsars in the SMC"
Abstract:

Intensive X-ray monitoring of the Small Magellanic Cloud has so far revealed the existence of 30 X-ray pulsars. I will present the results of 4 years of observations with RXTE. The long-term behaviour of the pulsar population was followed enabling measurements of pulse, orbital periods and spectral parameters. The results address several interesting questions relating to the physics of HMXB, and star formation in the SMC.
