Milli-arcsecond optical imaging with large arrays: the next five years |
Interferometry at optical and infrared wavelengths is entering a new phase: a number of second-generation facilities, capable of imaging astronomical sources with a resolution more than 20 times better than that of the HST, are about to come online. We review the current state of progress on these instruments and the possibilities of UK involvement in and exploitation of such facilities. |
