Compact Objects and Time Domain Astronomy
The Southampton astronomy group is seeking applications from candidates intending to apply for Royal Society University Research Fellowships in the 2026 applications round.
Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to contact the member of staff closest to their research interests or directly to the Head of the Astronomy Group, hogastro@soton.ac.uk.
The Fellowship Call is expected to open in mid-July with a funder deadline in September. There is a long lead time to preparing applications, including internal costings and support. Therefore, expressions of interest must be received no later than end of July 2026 (assuming a timeline similar to the 2025 Call), including the name of a staff member with whom prior contact has been established.
