Research Interests My main research interests are stellar populations in star clusters. Using a multi-wavelength approach (far-UV to near-IR) we study the various types of stellar populations, from main sequence stars to the most evolved stellar types like white dwarfs. The far-UV is ideally suited to detect stellar exotica (low-mass X-ray binaries, ultra-compact X-ray binaries, cataclysmic variables, Blue Straggler stars), whereas the near-IR is an ideal tool to investigate the lowest-mass main sequence stars and possibly brown dwarfs. |
